Project 4: Boombonix-Dimensional Sounds
Boombonix is primarily a Metal/Electronic/Experimental band that really pushes the envelope of what the genre could and should be in our new technological age. They hail from the scorching terrain of Austin Texas and they exude an intense and no-nonsense attitude in their work.
Dimensional Sounds was the first Boombonix album that I designed the cover art for. They were still in a highly experimental phase where they were still trying to make their many influences gel together, so there is a charming naivete’ to this LP that really draws the listener in and keeps them guessing. Much less Metal influenced and more Jazz/Electronic/Avant Garde, the album takes one on a chaotic and unpredictable trip through the sonic realms. I made the cover art as scattered and contrasting as I could giving the viewer very little clues as what to expect of the musical style yet foreshadowing that they are about to hear something way outside of the mainstream.
